Mushroom // Enamel Mug
For all the mushroom loving folk out there, we’ve got a mug for you! Light weight and durable, you can pack it into a backcountry hut and then boil water directly in your mug! That’s right, this enamel mug is camp stove, campfire, freezer, AND oven safe. Pop a tea bag in or fill it up with your pour over, French press, moka pot, or whatever you coffee gurus are using these days. Or, my personal favorite, bake a “mug brownie” in it over the camp fire, let it cool for a second, then top it off with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Woah.
Here are a few more impressive points:
-Freezer, oven, AND campfire safe
-Suitable for use on any type of cooker
-Abrasion and rust resistant, as well as UV
-Non-Toxic
-Easy to clean
-Handmade
-8cm Diamater

- WHAT IS ENAMEL? -
Enamel is a material produced by fusing powdered glass to a substrate. It is fired with additive pigments. Covering steel elements with enamel protects the base material from rust, gives the ware a pleasing aesthetic, and guarantees health and safety when enamelware is used in the kitchen. Its durability is the result of firing at high temperatures (about 850°C). This not only makes it durable, but also makes it suitable for use on any cooker (including induction hobs) and makes it dishwasher-safe.
- HOW TO USE ENAMELWARE? -
The history that will be written on your enamelware can enrich it or damage it – it all depends on how it is treated.
Here are some rules to help you save it for years to come and some advice to make you and your enamelware friends.
You can use the enamelware on the induction cooker, gas or electric stove, in the oven, in the bonfire, in the dishwasher, fridge, or freezer.
Tea or food can stain the enamel. That’s a natural process, so don’t worry when it happens.
Enamel is a hard material that can survive a lot. However, if subjected to great pressure, it will break (just like glass ). Don’t throw your enamelware, especially on a hard surface.
Do not use abrasive cleaning pads or gritty soap powders.
Do not use in the microwave.
Enamelware is made of steel and because of that, it conducts heat better than other mugs. That`s why they might even feel warmer than the drink inside. Be careful, because the dishes might get surprisingly hot.
Do not use damaged enamelware for hot food and beverages. There are layers between the steel and the last, colorful enamel, that serve to protect the dishes and should not come into contact with your food or drinks.
Do not use vinaigrette for cleaning - it might change the color of enamel.
